ABSTRACT
Polish is a highly inflected language, with words taking many different end ings (suffixes) to show their many meanings. Case endings are added to words to indicate their function in a sentence. These case endings vary for different classes (also referred to as genders, see 3.2.1) and numbers. In other words, Polish is a case language.
