ABSTRACT
Well, it’s very rewarding to be paid for what you love. And I love being able to work in the women’s movement and get paid for that. I mean it’s very much a movement job so I really like that. I like meeting these tremendous people [rape victims] that have horrible horrible things done to them and manage to get on with their lives and work things out and write things like that poem up there [she points to a poem by a victim on her wall]. There are very inspiring parts of the job. And I work with the most wonderful people on the face of the earth. The counselors and everyone … whatever brings them to it … whether it be the movement or just caring about people … they are just really good, dedicated, loving people.
