Abstract In this paper, the physical-mechanical behaviour of micro-concrete

containing vegetable fibres as irregular reinforcement is studied. The fibres studied were megass (the husk from sacharus-officinarum). Megass is the product from the first part of the process for obtaining sugar from this plant, this husk (megass) is usually used for making paper, for cattle feed, or as fuel.
