ABSTRACT
There are so many books about Germany that it has seemed best to confine the following list (which is far from complete) to secondary works in English. No attempt has been made to cover the military history of the wars or general international history. Many of the books listed themselves contain bibliographies. No book is mentioned more than once. The first section contains books that are also of general interest.
