ABSTRACT
Solar heat gain:- Solar radiation passing through the glazing material (glass or plastic) causes walls, floors, furniture and fittings to heat up, the resulting general rise in temperature inside the building is known as ‘solar heat gain’. Where there are large areas of glazing adequate ventilation is most important. Both glass and plastic sheet are available in some profiles and hues designed to reduce the effects of solar heat.
