ABSTRACT
The surface layer of soft vegetable soil which covers most areas, varies in thickness, but the average depth is about 150mm. This soft soil must be stripped off as it is compressible and the organic content may have deleterious effects. This soil is usually kept and utilised for the garden, landscaping etc.
