ABSTRACT
On 29 April 1941, after the plan to use the cargo steamer Czardasz to evacuate Poles from the Marseilles area was abandoned (see previous chapter), Krajewski, who had been sent to Gibraltar to organise that operation, received from Colonel Mally, his chief in Lisbon, details of a quite different plan, which the Polish General Staff had put to the Admiralty in London.1
