ABSTRACT
Steel is a quality assured and dimensionally accurate product which is available in a wide range of components (see Section 1.4). The following sections present some of the key technical characteristics and design standards for steel as a material, and in its primary components. The use of stainless steel and cast steel may also be considered in expressive structures.
