ABSTRACT

The authors would like to thank a range of organisations and individuals without whom the project could not have been undertaken. The Peak District National Park Authority and the Department of Archaeology and Prehistory, University of Sheffield backed the project. The Estates, Information and Rangers Services of the Park provided logistics and support throughout. Gavin Bell, Keith Clarkson and Caryl Hart raised funds for the interpretation projects and, with Jane Featherstone and Mark Simmons, helped organise school involvement.
