ABSTRACT
Singapore’s efficient use of land was shaped by the joint influences of land scarcity, market forces, and a master plan developed by government officials. Singapore has a well-defined central business district. According to Concept Plan 2001, a majority of the financial and service sector jobs will continue to be concentrated within the central area (Singapore Urban Redevelopment Authority 2003).
