ABSTRACT

Pick up a copy of any leading voluntary sector journal and you will inevitably find references to non-profits that have been felt to have acted inappropriately. Sometimes these actions may have been taken in violation of some legal requirement, but more frequently organizations are accused of behaving unethically, perhaps taking funds from a corporate donor with ties to dubious business practices in the Third World, or producing fundraising communications that are felt to be overtly shocking or even downright offensive.
