ABSTRACT
Son of Euanthes and priest of Apollo at Ismarus in Thrace. He was the only inhabitant of Ismarus whom Odysseus, in his attack on the Cicones, spared. In return Maron gave him the strong wine with which he later befuddled the Cyclops Polyphemus.
