ABSTRACT
The twin sons of Boreas, the North Wind, and Orithyia. When these twins, known as the Boreades, were born, they were of human appearance in all respects; but after their adolescence feathers sprouted from their shoulders and formed into great golden wings. They are also sometimes depicted with winged feet. Their hair was dark, like their father’s storm clouds.
