ABSTRACT
This chapter considers the nature of learning, and summarises some key ideas and perspectives on learning. There is a good deal of research on different aspects of learning, and, although there is much that is not yet well understood, there are now some widely accepted principles that can inform lesson planning and classroom science teaching.
