The market philosophy The Government’s 1988 Education Act will undoubtedly be a radical reform of the education of all our young people from infant school to higher education. The preliminary papers and written words of the Bill itself, as well as the words spoken by Kenneth Baker, the Prime Minister and those who have presented it to Parliament and the people, propose far-reaching and potentially damaging changes in the present education system.
