ABSTRACT
Skilful management of children, subject matter, time, space, resources and personal relationships, allow teachers’ other abilities to come into play. How teachers manage their classes, therefore, was a central part of the Primary Teacher Education Project and this account comes from Chapter 4 of my 1993 book Primary Teaching Skills.
