ABSTRACT

It is essential that the Year 1 class teachers and the teaching assistant delivering the programme agree the practical arrangements for the groups by the end of the first two weeks of the Autumn term. Successful administration of the programme relies on good planning at this stage that identifies:

Who will deliver the programme?

When will the sessions take place?

Where will the sessions take place?

Which children will attend the group (language and/or sound awareness)?
