ABSTRACT

The novice in graphology equipped only with the summary of acquired rules, who for the first time embarks on independent practical research, will immediately be snared in entanglements. His first disappointment will be to find that, although the rules hold good, and reveal numerous features of a writer’s character, thus enabling him to enumerate many of these peculiarities, he can produce no living portrait of the personality. His knowledge may acquaint him with the actual features, but does not carry him to the heart of the personality.
