ABSTRACT

What does a Buddha 1 see and hear? How does He act and think? What does He know and experience? In brief, what does it feel like to be a Buddha? These questions have been asked by all Buddhists throughout the ages, just as Jews, Christians, Moslems, and Hindus have always asked about their gods and prophets. If these questions are answerable at all, the answers must be very difficult. To raise a question is to reveal a state of mind, and to answer a question is to try to share one's experience with others. An answer cannot make sense if it is given to those who do not share the experience it implies. Let me illustrate this.
