ABSTRACT
The dialogue in the preceding chapter clearly shows that the central theme of Hwa Yen philosophy hinges upon the concept of realms. Totality and Non-Obstruction would become meaningless without realms, for the very meaning of Totality is defined here as the embracing of all realms, and Non-Obstruction as the infinite possibilities of their interpenetrations.
