ABSTRACT
At this point some questions shoud be raised: What are the causes of this all-merging Dharmadhatu? Who can realize it? How and why is this realm of Totality realizable? Ch'eng Kuan (738-839), the celebrated Hwa Yen Master, proposed ten reasons for the answer. In his famous work, A Prologue to Hwa Yen, we read:
