ABSTRACT

Some presenters break in by working in TV production first and making the move from behind the scenes to in front of the camera. If you start as part of the production team you could learn how to create programme ideas, research content, write scripts, plan, shoot, record and edit, and – most importantly – discover what is expected of a TV presenter. How do you get into TV production? What kinds of roles should you aim for and how do you move from runner or producer to presenter?
