Liability of the Carrier and Extent of Compensation for Damage

1. The carrier⁽¹⁾ is liable⁽²⁾ for damage sustained⁽³⁾ in case of death or bodily injury⁽⁴⁾ of a passenger upon condition only that the accident^L(5) which cause^d(6) the death or injury took place on board the aircraft or in the course of any of the operations of embarking or disembarking^.(7)
