Reflecting on this wide background, the last chapter focuses on three things that are critical for the study of hyperinflation in the contemporary world: policy, institutions, and international relations. Use of these broad concepts is intended to emphasize the interaction among price movements and social environments, and the profound implications these relationships have for the continuing development of economic and political processes in an increasingly globalized world.
