ABSTRACT

You well know we live in a global village and that the concerns of our international colleagues are our concerns too. Museums throughout the world have a commonality of interests and problems, goals and objectives. The responsibility for the preservation of the cultural patrimony and natural heritage of all peoples rests with all of us, and the condition of the global environment affects us, motivating us in museums to action wherever we may live. The trouble spots in the world cannot be isolated from any of us in museums who care about the cultural, physical, and natural world. There must indeed be cooperation, collaboration, ministry of services from the developed to the developing, and reinforcement of the ties that bind us together as cultural institutions.
