ABSTRACT
This appendix is intended to be a quick reference to sources of information on where and how to find job opportunities, and also serves as a referral for professional services. It consists of three sets of information about professional organizations categorized as national, regional, or state; identifying placement services, publications, professional development, and information about museums, and related organizations. All of the national, regional, and state organizations listed have annual conferences. For dates and places of conferences, contact the organization direct. State museum association addresses may be obtained from the American Association of Museums, or from its regional association. It lists international museum-related organizations, with addresses, newsletters published, and the International Council of Museums' international committees. Most Committees have newsletters or bulletins; consult current ICOM News for names of chairpersons and secretaries' addresses and phone numbers, or contact ICOM headquarters.
