ABSTRACT
The study of loci is interesting because the subject cannot construct such figures without making a generalization based on an action or operation which is indefinitely repeated. This principle is as fundamental in geometrical reasoning as in arithmetic. In the study of loci a general principle of reasoning is being analysed, just as in the preceding study of the sum of the angles of a triangle.
