M any scientists have a desire to work with children and young adults and have sought to do this through teaching. They are primarily em­ ployed at one of two places: informal science education (ISE) centers such as science-and-technology centers, natural history museums, aquar­ iums, and zoos; or in a middle or high school classroom setting.
