ABSTRACT

Various Definitions. THE discussion of the two members of a nexus has already to some extent anticipated the question of the relation of subject and predicate, for in those nexuses which constitute complete sentences, the "primary" has been shown to be identical with the subject, and the adnex (secondary member) identical with the predicate; in other forms of nexus, we might also use the terms" subject-part" and" predicate-part" instead of " primary" and "adnex."
