ABSTRACT
The central nervous system operates to reinforce biologically desirable behaviors, such as eating and reproduction. These reward systems, however, are susceptible to manipulation by some substances that are not biologically desirable but, in fact deleterious. Once taken, they can induce addictive consumption.
