ABSTRACT
It could be argued that ICT is creating the biggest change in education since schooling was made compulsory. We are only on the fringe of this development at present. Already there are computer programs which allow printed documents to be produced from spoken input and this development is likely to create a rather different situation for children and schools. These programs are not very well developed as yet but will probably affect the children now in primary schools during their secondary education. Whiteboards are also transforming the way that teachers can work with their whole class and there are an increasing number of programs designed to be used with whiteboards.
