To indicate that someone did an action casually for a short while in the past, say:

(subject) V 了 V 他們吃了有名的“北京 kFoyA”，也去北京的“酒吧一條街”坐了坐。 They ate famous “Beijing roast duck,” and also went to Beijing’s “Bar Street” and sat for while.
