ABSTRACT
The German–Romanian forces were thrown back from the Right Bank of the Ukraine as a result of the consecutive offensive operations carried out by the forces of the Ukrainian fronts in the spring of 1944. The 1st Ukrainian Front’s forces reached positions east of a line from Kovel’ through Brody and further to Kolomyia by the beginning of April.
