ABSTRACT

Those who believe we are living through a mere period of change are missing the big picture. For change has, or should have, become the norm across the entire spectrum of library services. As the library world settles into this climate of change, one is led to two distinct conclusions: (1) that technology has placed the library squarely in the center of the information revolution, and (2) that a librarian's job has been fundamentally and irrevocably altered.
