ABSTRACT

Developing a library collection to support the curriculum of Canada's largest computer studies school has debunked many myths about collecting computer science and technology information resources. Computer science students are among the heaviest print 38book and e-book users in the library. Circulation statistics indicate that the demand for print format books is not declining in relation to the rapid development of digital library collections. The digital library is evolving alongside the traditional physical library and the funding implications of building two collections are substantial. E-book demand is skyrocketing as collaborative online learning takes hold in community colleges. [Article copies available for a fee from The Haworth Document Delivery Service: 1–800-HAWORTH.
