ABSTRACT
The detection of the effects of stroke on sensation is impeded by several factors, including the subtle nature of some of the alterations of sensation and the overwhelming obviousness of the motor disabilities. Because of the patient’s communication difficulties, we often fail to realize that stroke can be painful.
