ABSTRACT
Finally, a few words on drugs and pregnancy. It should be kept in mind that virtually all substances ingested by a pregnant mother pass on to the fetus as well. This is just as true for medically prescribed drugs as it is for illegal and recreational drugs. In general, we advise expectant mothers to avoid all drug use during pregnancy. Further, we advise physicians to use extreme caution in the administering of any drug during pregnancy.
