ABSTRACT

Feedback to the school at the "completion" of the assessment process may lay the groundwork for further collaboration. It should be addressed to all school personnel who were involved in the information gathering process, namely, the classroom teacher, mental health professionals, appropriate specialists (e.g., reading, speech), and interested administrators. The reporting process may be carried out along the following lines:

a. Description of process as assisted by various school personnel;

b. Summary of school-based data; c. Summary of out-of-school data; d. Additional feedback by school personnel; e. Tentative interpretation of problem as based on school

and out-of-school data; and

f. Tentative collaborative goal setting for the direction of treatment as seen by the therapist and by school personnel.
