ABSTRACT

The conclusion summarises the main argument of this book. In it, I maintain that any theory of inclusive innovation has to be founded upon a plausible conception of social justice. Such a conception cannot be anything but political in nature. The terms of inclusive innovation can only be determined by justice-based principles such as equity, recognition and participation. These bottom-up principles ought to be applied not only in the distribution of new technological products and processes but also in their production. In this way, inclusivity is holistically promoted as a moral and political norm in both realms (production and distribution), thus satisfying the demands of justice.
