ABSTRACT
Comparable to the influence of SDC has been the influence of the PLATO system, developed at the Coordinated Science Laboratory of the University of Illinois. PLATO has probably attracted the most interest and publicity, and has had perhaps the greatest influence on subsequent developments, of all CBE research projects (Fletcher and Rockaway, 1986, pp. 209, 212).
