ABSTRACT

Living dilemmas are the most fundamental issue of the urban subaltern group. The living conditions of the urban subaltern group distinctly reflect the huge pressure of economic income and basic survival needs such as food, clothing, housing, medical care and so on. Family internal dilemmas refer to the difficulties, frictions and disputes within a family concerning economic issues, health, family member relationship, supporting the old, children’s education and so on. The most urgent issue for the urban subaltern group is of survival, and the issue they worry about most is a matter of living. The urban subaltern group, with a low employment rate, usually does not have stable economic sources and could only rely on the minimum living standard for the urban poverty group. Medical treatment is the issue that the urban subaltern group fears the most. Endowment insurance, medical insurance and unemployment insurance are social insurance set by national law and jointly paid by enterprises and individuals.
