ABSTRACT

Ecological mindprint refers to how environmental ideologies are communicated in media, such as consumerism and advertising, the ideology of endless economic growth, greenwashing, public relations, propaganda, news, and spectacle. To demonstrate the important role media play in shaping public perception of environmental problems, this chapter explores as a case study the issue of “fake climate news.”
