ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a study of the reception of the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari, which allows to articulate a non-naive and situated revolutionary engagement with the philosophy of Deleuze and Guattari. It applies a revolutionary interpretation of the Deleuzo-Guattarian philosophy to the object of financialization as described in the Marxian literature. The chapter focuses on a Deleuzo-Guattarian politics, which will draw on two recent attempts to resist financialization, namely President Hollande's social democratic politics in France and the Occupy Wall Street movement. The chapter also provides an outline of this book. The book deals with the Marxian literature on financialization. It explains how financialization replaced the Bretton Woods financial system and how it was linked to neoliberalism. The book shows how financialization permeated social reproduction, subjectivity and the state. It also shows that Deleuze and Guattari were not able to predict financialization for historical reasons.
