ABSTRACT
This organization, the principal trade union of the workers in the coal-mining industry, is one of the largest of the organized bodies of workers. In common with other trade unions it has suffered a heavy decline in membership during the last few years, but is still one of the most powerful and the largest organization of the mine workers.
