The statistical summary here given with the comparative table on the next two pages give all the relevant data for enabling a comparison to be drawn between the conditions prevailing in 1913 and those of 1935. The reader should beware of drawing any conclusion from the figures without examining carefully all the factors relating to the aspect of the problem he is considering and which have influenced the relative positions in the intervening period.
