ABSTRACT

We have reached an interesting stage at Redlands. We are confident of the value of involving parents fully in the life of the school and have the full backing of parents, teachers and governors for this policy. We have learned to trust parents, both for their good sense and their commitment to their children's well-being in school. There can be no doubt that we have made our fair share of mistakes. We will no doubt continue to make them. It seems to us, though, that mistakes can be forgiven in an atmosphere in which parents and teachers respect one another, where there is a genuine will to try and do better and to accommodate everybody's needs and interests.
