ABSTRACT

When I came back home it was very hard for me. My family was embarrassed and a little angry with me too, and my friends who have never been abroad treated me differently. It was difficult to understand why they treated me this way, because my experience abroad was very bad and they all know that. It’s strange to think that when I was abroad even though it was very hard for me in many ways when I came home it was just as hard – but of course in a different way. You know the saying “home is where the heart is”? Well my version is different: “home is where the hurt is”. Do you like it? (Charie)
