ABSTRACT
Firstly, I hope it has been sufficiently demonstrated that the global economy is a global economy. The fortunes of all the passengers on spaceship earth are interlinked. Changes in the welfare of some citizens on one side of the world have their impact, sooner rather than later, on their distant neighbours a hemisphere away. Numerous examples have been illustrated and the reasons for increasing international interdependence have been analysed.
