ABSTRACT
A contribution to existing knowledge must unveil the underlying social mechanisms to improve explanations of the role of e-government. This book aims to contribute to the field by addressing the question of e-government and power while at the same time applying methods that generally lack e-government research. This chapter addresses how this can be achieved by presenting theories of power and e-government and ordering them into a general theoretical framework, the digital governance framework.
