ABSTRACT
In order to qualify as a glacier, an ice mass must have (1) an area where snow or ice usually accumulates in excess of melting and (2) another area where the wastage of snow or ice usually exceeds the accumulation, and there must he (3) a slow transfer of mass from the first region to the second.
